The collection extensively covers the Southwest United States and Southern Utah, in relatively recent expeditions and in governement surveys around the turn of the century. The Colorado River system, its environment, and the before and after effects of the subsequent water management activities such as the Glen Canyon Dam are a large part of the collection.
