American West Center Research Projects photograph collection
Eastablished in 1964, the American West Center supports research into the history, people, and culture of the American West. This collection contains 24 black-and-white negatives of Zuni pottery shards used in land claim cases by the Zuni against the United States government.

The Auerbach Negative Collection contains 122 unique negatives of photographs and illustrations primarily depicting nineteenth-century Salt Lake City businesses and downtown streets.
Will Bagley photograph collection
Will Bagley (1950-2021) was a Utah historian and author of Blood of the Prophets: Brigham Young and the Massacre at Mountain Meadows (2002) who studied the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Utah, and Western history. This collection contains black-and-white and color prints and negatives depicting Bagley and images collected by Bagley in the course of his research.

Joseph Ray "Jay" Broadbent (born 2 September 1909 in Heber City, Utah) and Lorna Siddoway Broadbent (born 11 April 1913 in Vernal, Utah) were Univerity of Utah alumni who worked in livestock. This collection contains prints, slides, and negatives depicting the Broadbent family and friends, as well as their livestock business, from approximatley 1900 to 2006.

Edwin Quayle “Ted” Cannon, Jr. (1918-2005) was a Utah businessman and politician who served in many capacities for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This collecion contains prints and negatives depicting Cannon's family and involvement in the church dating from 1850 to 1970.
C. Gregory Crampton photograph collection
The C. Gregory Crampton collection was donated to the University of Utah in 1990. The collection extensively covers the Southwest United States and Southern Utah, in relatively recent expeditions and in governement surveys around the turn of the century. The Colorado River system, its environment, and the before and after effects of the subsequent water management activities such as the Glen Canyon Dam are a large part of the collection.
