David Osborn, Sr. biography
The biography of David Osborn, Sr. (1879) consists of a forty-six page typescript of an autobiographical sketch written by Osborn between 1860 and 1879. A postscript has been added by his son, David Osborn Jr. The biography details persecutions of Mormons in Ohio, Missouri, and Illinois; stories of his association with and death of Joseph Smith, Jr.; and his life in Cache Valley after emigrating to Utah in 1852.
Reed Peck manuscript [photocopy]
The Reed Peck manuscript (1839) consists of a photocopy of the original. The title page states that, "The original Reed Peck manuscript purchased Nov. 1943 from Peck's granddaughters Mabel Peck Myer and Hazel Peck Cass in Bainbridge, N.Y. by Fawn M. Brodie." The manuscript presents Peck's reminiscences of LDS Church members.

The Robert S. Portlock article (1997) is entitled, "Joseph Smith as Latter-day Halcyon: Spiritual Mythology and Mormon Symbolism" which is a 22-page document, written by Gail L. Porritt and Robert S. Portlock. This document studies the parallels between the historical life of Joseph Smith, Jr. and ancient mythology.

The Lucy Mack Smith autobiography (1844-1845) contain two photocopies of a handwritten autobiography of Lucy Mack Smith (1776-1855). The autobiography was recorded by Martha Jane Knowlton Coray. Lucy Smith was the mother of Joseph Smith, the founder of the LDS Church.

Transcript of the reminiscences and diary of Mary Elizabeth Rollins Lightner
This collection contains a transcript of the reminiscences and diary of Mary Elizabeth Rollins Lightner which records her experiences with the Church in Kirtland, Ohio, Missouri, Illinois, and Utah, and her association with Joseph Smith. A photocopy of a letter written by Emmeline B. Wells in 1889 is also included in the collection.
