This collection consists of prints and negatives collected and created by Harold Stanley "Stan" Sanders about Utah history; subjects include resorts, breweries, saloons, the Auerbach's department stores, and early Salt Lake City architecture. It also contains personal photographs taken of and by Sanders during his military service in Korea following World War II and photographs of an 1989 exhibit featuring his collections.

The Kenneth Sassen slide collection consists of 1 box containing 989 35mm color slides. The slides depict various areas in the Wasatch Mountains in Utah related to skiing. All of the images were taken by Kenneth Sassen and date from the 1970s and 1980s.

Ted Satomi Sato (1922-2009) was a United States Army veteran who served in World War II. This collection contains 2 photographs of Ted Sato in uniform while serving in the 442nd Regimental Combat Team dating from approximately 1943 to 1945.

The Jean Saubert photograph collection consists of images of Saubert skiing in various competitions and at events. Saubert competed in the Olympic Winter Games in Austria in 1964.

This collection consists of items donated by World War II veterans in conjunction with their oral history interviews conducted by the American West Center. This collection is ongoing, and items will be added periodically.

Phebe Carter Scholes (1862-1926) was a granddaughter of Wilford Woodruff. This collection contains 1 black-and-white portrait her dating from approximately 1908.

Barry Scholl established the Entrada Institute, a Utah-based coalition of environmentalists. The Barry Scholl photograph collection contains material collected by Scholl for the Entrada Institute.

The Gus Scott digital photograph collection contains images of the Colorado River and Glen Canyon, 1952-1959. The majority of the images are scenic though some are photographs of river rafting trips. The collection contains digital scans only; originals were returned to the owner.

The Scott, Louie, and Browning, Architects photograph collection contains images related to projects carried out by this architectural firm.

Walt Scott (1913-1961) was an outdoorsman and member of SOCOTWA who died in a flash flood in 1961. This collection contains postcards depicting various subjects collected by Scott during his lifetime.

John Septimus "Jack" Sears (1875-1969) was an artist, cartoonist, journalist, and faculty member at the University of Utah Department of Art. This collection contains photographs and negatives of Sears' illustrations for the 1932 book Thunder Cave by Jeremiah Stokes.

The Adrien and Emilie Segil photograph collection contains a scrapbook and general materials relating to Adrien and Emilie's fashion retail business and travel.

William “Bill” C. Seifrit (1935-2008) was a historian of Utah's art and artists. The William C. Seifrit photograph collection contains professional portraits of various individuals and families throughout Utah in the 19th and 20th century.

Heidi Selnes was a member of the University of Utah Ski Team and two-time NCAA champion. This collection contains photographs of Selnes and the Ski Team competing circa 1996.
