GI Civil Liberties Defense Committee records

Abstract The GI Civil Liberties Defense Committee records (1969) contain press releases, correspondence, and budgets from the Fort Jackson and Fort Bragg cases. The GI Civil Liberties Defense Committee worked to secure the constitutional rights, especially freedom of press and to organize, of members the United States Armed Forces. To this end, they provided legal counsel in the Fort Jackson and Fort Bragg Cases in 1969.
