Larry Gerlach papers
The Larry Gerlach papers (1951-2013) contain the professional papers of this University of Utah History professor. Included are teaching files on sports history, files from Dr. Gerlach’s time as the faculty athletics representative, materials relating to the Society of American Baseball Research (SABR), extensive research on the history of umpiring and Utah sports. Dr. Gerlach came to the University of Utah as an instructor in 1968 and retired from teaching in 2013.
German prisoners of war at Fort Douglas collection
This collection (1913-1941) contains research materials on German prisoners of war held at Fort Douglas, Utah, during World War I used by Raymond K. Cunningham in the writing of his M.A. thesis. Includes reports of inspections and complaints filed with the Swiss and Swedish Legations as well as depositions regarding events at the camp. Also includes three reels of microfilmed federal records from the Department of State and the FBI on the subject of German prisoners of war.

While the majority of the collection deals with his work as a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), there is a large portion that concerns his work with the Department of Reclamation, where he played a role in many of the prominent water works of the west.

The GI Civil Liberties Defense Committee records (1969) contain press releases, correspondence, and budgets from the Fort Jackson and Fort Bragg cases. The GI Civil Liberties Defense Committee worked to secure the constitutional rights, especially freedom of press and to organize, of members the United States Armed Forces. To this end, they provided legal counsel in the Fort Jackson and Fort Bragg Cases in 1969.
