Robert Marsham diary
The Robert Marsham diary (1864-1865) consists of a photocopy of the original diary. Marsham was a well-known explorer, and in this diary he describes his travels in Northern California, British Columbia, Yosemite, Idaho, Utah, the Sandwich Islands, and the Far East. Access to original diary restricted except with permission of the Manuscripts Curator.

Stanley McAllister papers (1920-2006) contains copies of typed and handwritten diaries, letters, and biographical information, most of which were written by McAllister during the time he served in the Eastern States mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). The first is his account of life aboard the Albany, a U.S. sloop of war, while the second concerns his experiences during Fremont's fifth expedition in 1854. James F. Milligan was a Navy midshipman, a Confederate signalman, a newspaper correspondent, and a member of Charles Frémont's 1854 expedition.
