The Davis Bitton oral histories and autobiographies collection (1966-2005) contains transcripts of oral histories conducted as an assignment for History 110 at the University of Utah. The interviews cover a wide range of Utah history, politics, government, and every day life. Bitton taught history at the University of Utah from 1966 to 1995.

Frontiers motion picture
The film Frontiers (1970s) is a regionally produced documentary about early settlers of the Intermountain West and the development contemporary to the making of the film of the region's agriculture, science, education, and industry. Filmmaker Richard Durrance, Jr. was an American competitive skiing champion, skiing filmmaker, and ski resort manager and developer. On this film he worked with Academy Award winning filmmaker and editor Jean Oser.

Hope Hilton (1924-1999) was a writer and community activist who, along with her husband, organized the Middle East Foundation, a charitable organization devoted to helping students from the middle east obtain an education in the United States.

Italian oral history project audio recordings
The Italian oral history project audio recordings (1970-1987) consist of interviews conducted with Utahns of Italian descent. Interviews begin with a short biography of the subject and cover topics such as discrimination, labor unions and social events. The American West Center conducted this and other ethnic oral history projects in an attempt to record the experiences Utah's eithnic minorities.

The Herbert B. Maw audio-visual collection (1941-1986) consists of audiocassettes of Maw's State Legislative Addresses in 1941 and 1943 and a 1986 conversation with Maw on KUER radio as well as a video interview from 1982. Herbert Brown Maw (1893-1990) was an attorney, educator, and Utah politician. He was elected as the 8th Governor of Utah and served from 1941 to 1949.
