The collection consists of color photocopies of magazine articles on snowboarding; many document Rich Varga's career. Rich Varga lives in Salt Lake City. He was a professional snowboarder during the 1980s.

The Drew Hicken papers (1990-1993) contain color photocopies of a calendar, various magazine excerpts, and a flyer. Most of the collection contains color images of Hicken snowboarding that appeared in various snowboarder magazines. Hicken was a competitive snowboarder for the "Salty 8," a team sponsored by Salty Peaks Snowboard Shop.

The Axel J. Andresen scrapbooks (1930-1980) were compiled by Andresen documenting his involvement in competitive ski jumping. A native of Norway, Andresen came to Utah in 1912. He held most major jump titles between 1918 and 1927. He was a founding member of the Norwegian-American Athletic Club, which later became the Utah Ski Club. Andresen served as vice president of that organization in the 1930s.

The Mark Stiegemeier papers (1973-1986) contain a scrapbook, magazine articles, and news clippings concerning his involvement in freestyle skiing. Stiegemeier was a freestyle skier during the 1970s and 1980s.

The Robert L. Autry papers (1950-1970) contain a notebook of past work and resumes of Bob Autry. Also included in the collection are photocopies of race results and reports. Robert l. Autry served as an instructor and director in ski schools and organized ski races.

The Ida Shimizu Tateoka papers (1987-2002) contain an autobiographical letter, skating club information, programs, news clippings, and a poster. Tateoka has been a judge of national and world ice skating competitions.

The Peter V. Karns papers [photocopies] contains clippings, newsletters, race results, and other items relating to Karns' University of Utah downhill ski team experience and biathalon career.

The Utah Olympic Committee photograph collection consists of a image of a speech being given in City City and an image of a downhill skier.

The Ralph Wakely photograph collection consists of images of Ralph Wakely skiing.

The Courtney Yamada digital photograph collection consists of scans of images of Courtney Yamada competing in the U.S. Ski Team Giant Slalom Super Series and the Skeleton

The Ida Shimizu Tateoka photograph collection consists of images of ice skaters during competitions.

The Nancy V. Young photograph collection consist of images of the Alf Engen Ski School Hall of Fame Banquet, along with two general images.

The Robert Young photographic slide collection consists of images of various freestyle and aerialist performers. Some are identified. Names include: Robert Young and Bob Salerno. Most are identified as being taken at Snowbird.

The Andy Wright digital photograph collection consists of images of snowboarding taken by Andy Wright at various ski resorts in Utah.

The Rich Varga digital photograph collection consists of images of Rich Varga snowboarding and white water kayaking.

The Ute Alpine Club records (1959-1981) include a history, constitution, manuals, articles, writings, and other papers regarding the activities of this Utah club. Originally formed as a ski club in 1954, the Ute Alpine Club became known as a club in which members were involved in all types of outdoor activities. As of 1981, unable to compete with other outdoor services, the club focused on advertising its social benefits.

The Sagen, et al. v. VANOC (Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games) records (1970-2010) consist of research files and court documents related to the suit brought before a court in British Columbia, Canada, by sixteen women athletes who sought inclusion of a women's ski jumping event in the 2010 Winter Olympics.
