The railroad photograph collection contains images of railroad stations, yards, and equipment in Utah, including photographs of the "Golden Spike" ceremony at Promentory Point in 1869.

Railway collection
The railway collection (1881-1947) contains correspondence, telegrams, bills of lading, tariff notices, and shipping and delivery receipts. The majority of the materials in the collection pertain to the Missouri, Kansas & Texas Railway Company.
Eloise Randall photograph collection
The Eloise Randall photograph collection contains photographs of various structures and events in Salt Lake City, Bingham Canyon, other areas in Utah, and throughout the West. Also included are many photographs of railroad stations and albums containing photographs of scenes in New Hampshire.
Rio Grande Southern Railroad records
The Rio Grande Southern Railroad records (1889-2001) consist of meeting minute book, a company ledger, a scrapbook, train schedules, and newspaper clippings relating to the activity of the Rio Grande Southern Railroad Company. The materials located in box 1 are color copies of orginal items that were returned to donor.
Salt Lake and Utah Railroad Company records
The Salt Lake and Utah Railroad Company records (1932) consist of a survey sketchbook of "all trolley between 7th South Salt Lake and Payson, including all side tracks and branches; showing necessary changes and listing materials needed for each mile in the event that Pantography system is used." The sketches were drawn by Harvard Olson, the railroad's sub station operator in Springville, Utah.

Union Pacific Railroad collection
The Union Pacific Railroad collection (1892-1899) consists of fourteen money vouchers (1899) made to the superintendent of the Pacific Express Company for posse expenses relative to the robbery of Union Pacific Train No. 1 near Wilcox, Wyoming, 2 June 1899. Also included in the collection is an excurion rate card for the 62nd annual conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the laying of the cap stone of the temple, at Salt Lake City (1862).

The Utah railroad collection (1868-2012) contains ephemeral materials that were created by various railroad companies within Utah and the West. The types of materials within the collection include locomotive operating manuals, historical information regarding railroads, timetables, ticket stubs, telegrams, labor union items, promotional booklets, stationary, calendars, and much more.
Elijah Malin Weiler papers
The Elijah Malin Weiler papers (1839-1921) is a small railroading collection containing about forty pieces of correspondence. Weiler immigrated with his mother to the Salt Lake valley. He served in the 1865 Blackhawk War and was a missionary and settler in Muddy, Nevada. He was a member of the Crismon and Weiler Contractors firm and he assisted in building many of the railroad lines in Utah.
