Steven K. Madsen newsletter collection
The Steven K. Madsen newsletter collection (1996-1998) contain copies of the Spanish Traces, published by the Old Spanish Trail Association. Steven K. Madsen is an historian and the author of several books about the history of the settlement of the Intermountain West.
Cyprian Marsh papers
The Cyprian Marsh papers (1829-1996) consists of the diary of Cyprian Marsh (1829-1886), a certificate of ordination as an elder signed by Joseph Smith (1842), a history of family ownership of the diary, and loose notes thought to be written by Cyprian Marsh. Marsh was a convert to the LDS Church who fled Nauvoo in 1846 and came to Utah in 1853.

David E. Miller papers
The David E. Miller papers (1831-1981) contain such things as correspondence, history course papers and detailed lessons, his journal from his years as an LDS missionary in Germany (1930-1931), Golden Spike Centennial (1969) materials, newspaper clippings, book reviews, various publications, maps, and research and a manuscript for his work on Peter Skene Ogden.

The Murdock family papers (1850s-1970s) contain genealogical and biographical information on four generations of the Joseph Stacey Murdock family. Joseph Stacey Murdock and wife emigrated from Nauvoo to Utah in 1847 and settled in the Heber City, Utah, area.
George Numbers papers
The George Numbers papers (1848-1952) are a collection of letters and essays written mostly by George Numbers, and his daughter, Emily Numbers. The letters were written by George Numbers in 1848, when he was in California during the Gold Rush. There is also an autobiography written by Emily Numbers, who was a school teacher in Indiana and Texas from 1882 to 1932.

The Joseph Slater promissory notes (1860) specify amounts of money owed by Slater for hand cart shares with payment due on his arrival in the Great Salt Lake area.
