The Snow Cup Race scrapbook (1962-1963) consists of news clippings, correspondence, photographs, and project proposal materials. The Snow Cup Race was created to promote skiing in the Intermountain and Salt Lake Area. This event was held at Alta, Utah beginning in the 1940s. Skiers who have participated in the races include Jim Gaddis, Lynn Johnson, Billy Kidd, Corey Engen, and Margo Walters.
William Spencer papers
The William Spencer papers (1960-2000) contains a scrapbook, newsletter, and clippings documenting William Spencer's career as a University of Utah and United States ski racer and an Olympic biathlete. The materials also document the development of biathlon as an Olympic sport. Included is a photocopy of the book Biathlon by Arthur Stegen. Spencer is a biathlete, skier, and cyclist. In February 2000 he was inducted into the Biathlon Hall of Fame.

The Marthinius A. Strand Utah skiing collection (1932-1984) contain newspaper clippings, magazine articles and newsletters. Strand is widely regarded as the father of the Intermountain skiing industry. He is a member of the National Ski Association Hall of Fame.
D. Robert Theobald scrapbook [photocopy]
The D. Robert Theobald scrapbook (1968-1989) consist of a photocopy of the original documenting the skiing career of Theobald. D. Robert Theobald competed in freestyle skiing events in the 1970s. He also operated a ski school at Solitude Mountain Resort in Utah and served as an officer in national freestyle skiing organizations.

The Timp Haven Ski Area clippings (1945-1978) contain content concerning Ray and Ava Stewart and their involvement with the Timp Haven Ski Area and clippings concerning ski racing, ski jumping, and ski resort development. The Timp Haven Ski Area is located in Provo Canyon, Utah. It was founded in 1943 and was known as Timp Haven until 1971 when it was purchased by Robert Redford who renamed it Sundance Ski Resort.

Veteran Ski Instructor Alliance correspondence
The Veteran Ski Instructor Alliance correspondence (2001-2002) was created by the Veteran Ski Instructors (VSI), an organization based in Park City, Utah. VSI sponsors an annual reunion for ski professionals, many of whom were instrumental in organizing the Professional Ski Instructors of America, and most of whom have contributed to the development of the American Ski Technique over the years.

Larry James Warren papers

Also included in the collection are various transcripts of radio interviews. Warren is a special features television reporter in the Salt Lake area. He is also actively involved in the University of Utah's Ski Archives.
