The collection consists of color photocopies of magazine articles on snowboarding; many document Rich Varga's career. Rich Varga lives in Salt Lake City. He was a professional snowboarder during the 1980s.

The Veteran Ski Instructor Alliance correspondence (2001-2002) was created by the Veteran Ski Instructors (VSI), an organization based in Park City, Utah. VSI sponsors an annual reunion for ski professionals, many of whom were instrumental in organizing the Professional Ski Instructors of America, and most of whom have contributed to the development of the American Ski Technique over the years.

The Stephani Victor digital photograph collection consists of images depicting Victor skiing in the Winter Paralympic Game and World Cup.

The Ralph Wakely photograph collection consists of images of Ralph Wakely skiing.

The Walker House guest register (1875) contains signatures of the hotel's guests between July 13, 1875 and December 30, 1875. The Walker House was a relatively new addition to the downtown Salt Lake City area at this time, having been built in 1872. It was torn down shortly after the turn of the century and replaced by the David Keith Building, located at 248 S. Main Street.

The Jack H. Walker ski collection (circa 1930s) consists of news articles on Utah's Mount Olympus Ski Club events and on the Alf Engen family.

The Jack Walker photograph collection contains photographs of Mt. Olympus Ski Club at Ecker Hill in 1934, informal pictures of skiers, and views of Alta with avalanche routes and snow loads highlighted, circa 1934.

The Glenn Walker Wallace photograph collection contains photographs of skiing at Park City Ski Area, Utah.

The Richard Dean "Dick" Wallin papers (1964, 1973) consist of photocopies of a diary entry regarding his experience traversing Wind Rivers, Green River Lakes, and Trail Creek. Also included in the collection are two news clippings. One discusses the Alpen Bock Climbing Club, and the other discusses a mountain rescue crew of the Salt Lake Area.

The Warm Springs Rapid history project (1996-2010) consists of materials related to the preparation of a special research trip for June 2-6, 2008 for the purpose of bringing together as many of the people who were there at Warm Springs in June of 1965 as possible. Warm Springs Rapid, on the Yampa River in Dinosaur National Monument, is one of the most difficult stretches of runnable whitewater in the United States.

The Larry James Warren papers (1984-2002) contain clippings from the Park City Magazine, Park City Guest Guide, and the Lodestar. Also included in the collection are various transcripts of radio interviews. Warren is a special features television reporter in the Salt Lake area. He is also actively involved in the University of Utah's Ski Archives.

The Larry Warren photograph collection consists of slides used to document a lecture on preparations for the Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Games as well as personal and professional items realting to his career and induction in the Intermountain Ski Hall of Fame

The photographs in this collection portray the various activities in the Wasatch Mountains, Frank Koziol and G.F. Horton are the prominent photographers.

The Nona Cook Weatherbee digital photograph collection contains images of Nona Cook Weatherbee and Snowbird Ski Resort.

The Roy Webb photograph collection contains images of a Grand Canyon river trip made in June of 1994 with the old timers.

The Bernie Weichsel collection (1972-1981) consists of promotional travel pamphlets from Park City, Salt Lake and Utah areas. Also included within the collection are ski related articles and news clippings and a folder promoting skiing in California.
