Donated by the National Forest Service, This collection documents a wide variety of avalanches through the years in the Wasatch. Included are excellent views of the equipment used in avalanche control, damage, and rescue training. This collection has been digitized and is available online in our Digital Library.

The Nancy Bandy scrapbook (1973-1976) is titled "Rebirth of Utes Skiing" and consists of news clippings, ski results, photographs and other ephemeral materials regarding the history of the University of Utah's ski team under the direction of coach Phil Klingsmith.

The George Barfoot papers (1962-1999) consists of a journal and a letter. The journal is the record of a trip through Glen Canyon, on the Colorado River in 1962. The first part is handwritten and the second is a typed transcript of the first. The letter was written in 1999 by Michael St. Clair to Dr. Richard Ingebretsen, of the Glen Canyon Institute.

The George Barfoot photograph collection consists of slides taken by George Barfoot documenting a trip down Glen Canyon in 1952.

The Bear Lake resorts and recreation collection (1921-2001) was compiled by Shelby Peterson and consists of oral histories by Bryan Booth, Virginia Alvira Booth Taylor Bolton and Doris Rich Boggess. Also included is an article written by F. John Roberts entitled, "The Resort." The collection discusses the history of Bear Lake in Utah.

The Beaver Mountain ski area photograph collection contains images of skiing activities and scenic views at Beaver Mountain ski area, Utah.

The Richard Bench digital photograph collection depicts Dick Bench, ElRae Bench and other Park West Ski Patrol members posing and skiing at ParkWest in Park City, Utah circa 1975-1990.

The Edgar Bering scrapbook (1930-1940) consist of two photocopies which features articles on Ed Bering, Alf Engen, other skiers, ski tournaments and championships, and race results. Miscellaneous correspondence and ski tournament programs are also included.

The Richard J. Bird papers (1963-1990) concern the development and installation of aerial tram and rope tow equipment for recreational ski areas. Included are reports and news clippings. Richard Bird was an administrator for the Forest Service in Ogden, Utah.

The Brandy Blank river running video collection (1940s, 1970s) consists of a VHS videocassette containing a dub of an 8mm color silent film of a 1940s Boy Scout river trip through Glen Canyon led by Bert Loper as well as footage of a 1970s era Westwater Canyon river trip.

The Bogus Basin digital photograph collection consists of images depicting this recreational ski area.

The Bonneville Salt Flats racing ephemera (circa 1940s-2020) consists materials related to motor sports at Bonneville Salt Falts, Utah.

The Junior Bounous photograph collection contains images of Junior Bounous skiing and ski jumping.

The Bill Briggs digital photograph collection consists of 13 digital only images of Briggs skiing and of mountain peaks with dotted lines showing the path of descent for skiing.

The Brighton Ski Resort photograph collection contains photographs of facilities and skiing at Brighton ski area, postcards and an album containing images of recreational activities in Brighton and of the Balsam Hotel (circa 1910).

The Brighton Ski Resort records (1915-2000) contain a master plan, brochures, season pass forms, trial maps, posters, articles, news clippings, ski passes, and typescript histories detailing the development of both Brighton, Utah and Brighton Ski Resort. The first serviced ski area in Utah was created at Brighton in 1936. The resort area has been expanded to cover 850 acres today.

The Brundage Mountain Resort digital photograph collection consists of images depicting the history of this Idaho ski resort.

The Anthony C. Budett photograph collection consists of images from the World Cup Women's Relay Finals held at Soldier Hollow, Utah January 13, 2001.
