Abstract The Royal Coal Company payroll ledgers consist of three payroll ledgers for the Royal Coal Company that date from 1930 through 1954, and one payroll ledger for the Standard Coal Company for 1916 through 1919.

Strevell papers (1894-1943) contain correspondence, family history, essays, speeches, publications, art work, posters, pamphlets, brochures, news clippings, and other related materials. Strevell was one of the organizers of Strevell-Paterson Hardware Company and was the president for many years before his retirement in 1912. He became well known for his essay, "Dinosauropodes,"" which was published several times during the 1930s.

The majority of the maps and drawings concentrate on Utah land holdings and projects. However, there are also some that deal with Colorado holdings of the Utah Fuel Company.
