The H. D. Goode papers (1923-1995) are comprised of materials that focus on the military, teaching, and geology careers of Harry Donald Goode (born 1912). Included are publications, guide books, news clippings, notes, essays, teaching materials, correspondence, research materials, personal documents, and other papers.

The Roscoe E. Grover notebook (1894) consists of notes for a course on grammer taken by Grover at the University of Utah.

The Richard Leveridge Hoxie notebooks (1872-1873) contain a photocopy segment of his notebooks of the Wheeler Expedition, written during his service with the Army Corps of Engineers.

The Stanley S. Ivins papers (1850-1968) consist of correspondence, a diary, articles, and eleven microfim reels which contain research notebooks and transcripts of Salt Lake City newspapers.

The Alonzo P. Kesler papers (1880-1944) consist of his personal journals along with materials collected from his wife, Donnette Smith Kesler.

The J. R. Mahoney papers (1889-1986) contain materials related to Mahoney, a former professor of economics at the University of Utah. Included in the collection are writings, correspondence, notebooks, travel information, statistics, graphs, and charts, among other materials.

The John E. McKendrick papers (1942-1958) contain McKendrick's wartime diary, research materials and linguistic notebbooks. McKendrick was a professor of English at Brigham Young University.

The Mitchell Melich papers (1932-1973) contain correspondence, cards, handwritten notes, notebooks, appointment books, travel itineraries, calendar books, passports, general Republican Party materials, mining materials, gubernatorial campaign materials, financial documents, and news clippings. This collection covers four main portions of Melich's life: mining, gubernatorial campaign, service in the Republican Party, and Solicitor of the Department of Interior.

The Wick Miller papers (1931-1994) contain correspondence, research files, field notes, word lists, notebooks, articles and reprints, pamphlets, maps, class syllabi, tests and assignments, student papers, and manuscripts. Wick Miller (1932-1994) was an anthropological linguist and pioneer in language acquisition studies.

The Music Temple visitors registers (1938-1961) consists of notebooks, notepads, and miscellaneous scraps of paper upon which were written names and (usually) dates of members of river parties who stopped at Music Temple in Glen Canyon of the Colorado River before its inundation by Lake Powell in the 1960s.

The notebook of collected quotations (1940s) is filled with hand-written quotes, maxims and clippings, many of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints origins.

The Kenneth R. Prentiss papers (1947-1970) contain correspondence, publications, reports, notes, and notebooks, mostly dealing with Prentiss's work in mechanical engineering on ventilating systems and water boiler systems for airplanes. Prentiss graduated from Purdue University with bachelor's and master's degrees in mechanical engineering. During World War II, he served in the United States Army Air Corps, and later worked in the aerospace industry.

The Preston Nutter Corporation records (1876-1981) document over one hundred years of ranching in Colorado, Arizona, and Utah. The records cover virtually every aspect of cattle ranching, from the buying, selling and shipping of cattle; to the acquisition of land, water, and grazing rights; to the wages and injuries of ranch hands. Also covered are many aspects of the private lives of the Nutter family.

The Charlotte A. Quinn papers (1965-2001) contain an extensive collection of research notes concerning the modern resurgence of Islam in Africa. The research was used for Charlotte Quinn's book, Pride, Faith and Fear: Islam in the Sub-Saharan Africa, and her collaboration with Frederick Quinn, Mandingo Kingdoms of the Senegambia: Traditionalism, Islam, and European Expansion.
