Biographical Note
Preston Dee Linford (1922-1977) was born in Ogden, Utah, the son of Preston and Helen S. Linford. He was a graduate of Ogden High School in 1940, Weber College in 1942), and the University of Utah in 1944. He received a master's degree from the University of Michigan with honors. Linford was a naval officer in World War II and an assistant professor of civil engineering for the University of Utah form 1946 to 1975. He began acting in the late 1940s and early 1950s under C. Lowell Lees in Salt Lake City, Utah.
