Biographical Note

Ray Kingston (1934-) was born in Ogden, Utah. He received his bachelor degree in architecture from the University of Arizona and later attended graduate school at the University of Utah. He married Joan Penman in 1956. Kingston was a member of the Enteleki Architecture/Planning/Research firm from 1970-1975, before starting the FFKR Architecture firm of which he as a member until 1995. He has served on numerous arts councils, founded the Utah Alliance for Arts and Humanities Education as well as the Snowbird Institute for the Arts and Humanities, and he was appointed to the National Council on the Arts. Throughout his career, Kingston has earned several awards for his contributions to the fields of art and architecture. After his divorce from Joan Penman he married Galina Perova in 1991. Kingston currently resides in Salt Lake City.
