This collection contains a subpeona summoning Chauncy Robinson, G. W. Thatcher, Chauncy L. Higbee, Francis M. Higbee, William Law, Wilson Law, George Bachman, Charles Ivins, and Charles A. Foster to appear before the Grand Jury at Carthage, Illinois, on 24 October 1844. Jacob B. Backenstos was the Sheriff of the County.
