Biographical Note
Wesley A. Groesbeck was an advocate, consultant, and educator on the subject of environmentally friendly building practices in Utah. Groesbeck taught workshops, gave assessments, and collected materials on the most affordable and effective ways to minimize the environmental impact of residential housing. Groesbeck went on to co-author a book, The Resource Guide to Sustainable Landscapes, with Jan Striefel in 1994.

Abstract
The Wesley A. Groesbeck papers (1985-1995) is a collection of the materials created, adapted, and presented by Groesbeck as part of his work to promote environmentally friendly and sustainable practices in the residential housing industry. The collection covers a wide array of green building topics, including insulation, solar heating, water conservation, urban planning, residential siting, landscaping, and others. The collection is focused on Utah and the intermountain area, but contains supporting material from Germany, Australia and other places as well.

Separated Materials
Audio tapes and photographs were transferred to the Multimedia Division of Special Collections.
