Scope and Contents

The Powell centennial lecture announcement (1969) contains an article announcing a slide presentation to be given by Professor Eugene Shoemaker of California Institute of Technology. The presentation was entitled, "The Footsteps of Powell: A Trial Gone Cold Recovered." The lecture was given to commemorate the centennial anniversary of Major John Wesley Powell's expedition launch at the Green River, Wyoming.
