Scope and Contents

The Andrus family papers (1978-1979) contain information on Milo Andrus and his wives through two family publications, The Andrus Recorder and Milo Andrus and His Wives and Children. Both these xerox editions contain excerpts from Milo's journal and autobiography, as well as his letters. Information regarding Lucy Andrus and her "Halfway House" is also included.

Biographical Sketch

Milo Andrus was born in England. He joined the LDS Church and led a company of pioneers to Salt Lake City. He was a pioneer of Green River and Cache Valley, Utah, and of Salmon River, Idaho. He married Sara Ann Miles and Lucy Loomis Tuttle.
