The Mark H. Forscutt paper (circa 1862) consist of Forscutt's partial history of the Morrisite church, of which he served as clerk. The manuscript, a photostat copy, deals with events rather than personalities. Forscutt interprets the events and gives his feelings regarding the leadership of the Mormon Church.

Biographical Sketch
Mark H. Forscutt was a member of the Morrisite movement. During the brief period the Morrisites were organized as a church (1861-1862), he served as clerk of the First Council.

Abstract
The Mark H. Forscutt paper (circa 1862) consist of Forscutt's partial history of the Morrisite church, of which he served as clerk. The Morrisite church was formed as a result of the death of Joseph Smith Jr. (1805-1844), prophet and president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
