Organizational History

The Utah Medical Association (UMA) was started in 1895 as a branch of the American Medical Association. The UMA offers representation before the Utah State Legislature, public relations and communications support, authoritative information on current issues in medicine, publications and other information resources, insurance and financial planning resources, as well as practice and professional development information. The UMA conducts conferences, publishes the UMA Bulletin, and is a resource for physicians as well as the public.
