David Eccles Quinney papers
The David Eccles Quinney papers (1932-2000) contain a scrapbook, correspondence, and publications related to the Sun Valley Ski Resort. Quinney (1919-1974), who was a member of the Utah Ski Club and the Aurora Ski Club, is a son of S. Joseph Quinney, a Salt Lake attorney who was instrumental in the development of skiing at Alta.
William Spencer papers
The William Spencer papers (1960-2000) contains a scrapbook, newsletter, and clippings documenting William Spencer's career as a University of Utah and United States ski racer and an Olympic biathlete. The materials also document the development of biathlon as an Olympic sport. Included is a photocopy of the book Biathlon by Arthur Stegen. Spencer is a biathlete, skier, and cyclist. In February 2000 he was inducted into the Biathlon Hall of Fame.

The D. Robert Theobald scrapbook (1968-1989) consist of a photocopy of the original documenting the skiing career of Theobald. D. Robert Theobald competed in freestyle skiing events in the 1970s. He also operated a ski school at Solitude Mountain Resort in Utah and served as an officer in national freestyle skiing organizations.
Brighton Ski Resort records
The Brighton Ski Resort records (1915-2000) contain a master plan, brochures, season pass forms, trial maps, posters, articles, news clippings, ski passes, and typescript histories detailing the development of both Brighton, Utah and Brighton Ski Resort. The first serviced ski area in Utah was created at Brighton in 1936. The resort area has been expanded to cover 850 acres today.
Albert S. Hansen papers
The Albert S. Hansen papers (1962-1971) contain information, correspondence, membership material, and rosters of the Ski Utah Associates, as well as news articles, newsletters, and information about the Olympic Ski Club. Albert S. Hansen worked with the Ski Utah Association, and was a lifelong supporter of University of Utah athletics, and served as the Executive Director of the Intermountain Ski Association.

Most of the collection contains color images of Hicken snowboarding that appeared in various snowboarder magazines. Hicken was a competitive snowboarder for the "Salty 8," a team sponsored by Salty Peaks Snowboard Shop.
Axel J. Andresen scrapbooks
The Axel J. Andresen scrapbooks (1930-1980) were compiled by Andresen documenting his involvement in competitive ski jumping. A native of Norway, Andresen came to Utah in 1912. He held most major jump titles between 1918 and 1927. He was a founding member of the Norwegian-American Athletic Club, which later became the Utah Ski Club. Andresen served as vice president of that organization in the 1930s.
