Scope and Contents
The typewritten transcription of Archibald Gardner's diary (1815-1857) consists of 10 pages and was copied by Brigham Young University in 1944. The transcript of the diary gives an extensive genealogy of the Gardner family and their Scottish origins. Although brief, this account describes the daily trials and experiences of the early 1800s. The diary has been transcribed with its original grammar and spelling intact. The transcript includes a table of contents and an index.
