Utah History and Pioneers Scrapbook, 1934

 File — Box: 19, Volume: 2

Scope and Contents

Three different columns fill the pages of this scrapbook. First, "The Building of Utah and Her Neighbors" was written by Andrew Jenson, the Assistant Church Historian. This column chronologically explains the construction and history of Salt Lake City. It then goes on to give histories of every city and community in Utah. "Along the Trails of Yesterday" is the second column and it was written by Kenneth S. Bennion. These are stories about interesting facts in Utah history. The final column, "True Pioneer Stories," was by Harold H. Jenson. They are similar to the articles by Kenneth S. Bennion, except they are stories about individual pioneers and the obstacles they overcame. In the back of the scrapbook are a couple articles about early Utah transportation, government, tourism, and interesting people.
