Abstract The Wallace A. Goates sheet music collection (1890-1905) were recovered by the University of Utah's Theater Department from Goates's estate after his death. The music compositions were used by the Salt Lake Theater around the turn of the century. Goates joined the University of Utah faculty in 1937 teaching speech and theater.
