Abstract The William John Silver papers (1874-2001) consist of Silver's biography as well some ephemeral newspaper clippings and advertisement cards. Silver is best known for his influence in Salt Lake City, Utah as the frontrunner for the Silver Brother Iron Works (also known as Salt Lake Iron and Steel Company).
