Don Trimble papers

Abstract The Don Trimble papers (1928-2002) contain essays, research papers, United States Geological Survey bulletins, photographs and negatives, arrowheads, and books with annotations. Trimble served in World War II as an Army anti-aircraft officer in the South Pacific. Mr. Trimble joined the United States Geological Survey in 1946 and worked to map the western United States.

Abstract The United States Geological Survey coal lands survey records (1905-1908) contain notebooks on coal surveys in Carbon and Emery Counties in Utah. The records also contain a notebook of sites outside Utah. The United States Geological Survey has been used by the Federal Government to inventory the mineral lands of Utah.
