The African American oral history project (1971-1973) contains interviews with people who resided in Utah during the Depression and World War II era. Those interviewed discuss their experience being African American in Utah during this time. Items discussed include difficulty finding housing and jobs as well as discrimination in public areas and from neighbors. Audio is also available for the interviews.

The Allan D. Ainsworth papers (1956-2000) consist primarily of research materials related to the Act of June 18, 1934 (Indian Reorganization Act) in 1934. Ainsworth taught in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Utah and founded the Fourth Street Clinic in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1988.

Isaac Chase came to Utah in 1847 and in 1854 he partnered with Brigham Young to developed a flour mill which became known as the Chase Mill.

The collection also includes documents and internal KSL correspondence concerning to the controversial program "Mormon Women and Depression," which almost did not air.

Included within the collection are administrative materials, budget break-downs, logs and reports, production materials, etc. Dutcher gained popularity with his film, God's Army which presented the experience of a missionary from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Los Angeles to a wide audience.
EIMCO oral history project
The EIMCO oral history project (1980-1983) contains transcripts, an interview listing, interview sheets, and a history of EIMCO by Gregory C. Thompson and Allan D. Ainsworth. EIMCO (Eastern Iron and Metal Co.) began as a pushcart scrap metal operation of Russian immigrant, Nathan Rosenblatt in the late 1800s and grew into a corporation serving the demands of numerous manufacturing industries.

The Jo-Anne Ely papers (1949-1977) contain correspondence, news clippings, interview transcripts, maps, reports, and published material relating to Charles A. "Charlie" Steen, the "Uranium King," and uranium mining in Utah. Ely was researching a possible biography of Steen.
