Abstract The Nancy V. Young essay (1980) consist of a paper written by Young entitled "The Kearns Mansion Restoration, 1977-1980." It is an overview of the project, lists people involved, and gives sources where additional information about the restoration can be found. The Kearns Mansion, located in Salt Lake City, was the home of Senator Thomas Kearns. In 1937, it was presented to the state of Utah to be used as the governor's residence. It also housed the Utah State Historical Society at one time.
