Abstract The Lyman Wight colony collection consist of a bound, 55-page typescript copy of a manuscript by Herman Hale Smith. The manuscript is about the Lyman Wight colony in Texas and contains primary source materials such as Wight's journal, correspondence, an account of the breakup of the colony by Wight's son, and contemporary news articles about the colony.
