The Carbon County oral history project (1972-1993) consist of oral histories from residents of Carbon County, Utah. While the main emphasis is on living in coal mine country, the interviews are verbal snapshots of rural Utah life from the earliest settlers to as recently as 1993. The Helen Zeese Papanikolas papers (1954-2001) contain materials concerning the research and writing of this Utah historian and folklorist. Included are correspondence, research files, news clippings, oral history manuscripts, published and unpublished articles.

The Rasmus Ove Rasmussen correspondence (1904, 1907) are addressed to the County Clerk of Carbon County and concern payment for "petler" [peddler] and "licker" [liquor] licenses on behalf of others in Sunnyside, Utah. Rasmussen was a Contable or Deputy Sheriff of Sunnyside.
