Robert Anderson papers
The Robert Anderson papers (1940-1990) contain correspondence, notebooks, research notes, maps, articles, news clippings, and manuscript drafts related to the life and work of this University of Utah Professor of Anthropology. Dr. Anderson's early research files concern the Cheyenne Indians. His later interest in psychiatry and anthropological theory culminated in the publication of his textbook The Cultural Context in 1976.

The Alan Conway Ashton papers (1970-1976) consist of a draft of his University of Utah dissertation Electronics, music and computers, instructional materials including tests, lecture notes, and assignment sheets for various courses in computer science. Ashton created the WordPerfect word processing software.
James M. Aton papers
The James M. Aton papers (1829-2006) consist of articles, maps, newspapers, and book excerpts dealing with the natural history, archaeology, ecology, and early settlement of Southern Utah. The papers also include manuscript drafts, correspondence, and photograph use information pertaining to the writing of River Flowing from the Sunrise: An Environmental History of the Lower San Juan by James Aton and Robert McPherson.

The Lowell L. Bennion papers (1928-1987) contain many articles and speeches that Bennion wrote, as well as a portion of Bennion's missionary diary. Bennion (1908-1996) was the first director of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) Institute at the University of Utah. He was also a major leader in humanitarian service and the University of Utah's Lowell Bennion Service Center is named in his honor.

Jan Harold Brunvand was a professor of English at the University of Utah, an author, and an expert on urban U.S. folklore.

Buchanan is professor emeritus of educational studies at the University of Utah.
