Abstract
The Auerbach family was among the first Jewish residents in Salt Lake City and operated a department store in downtown Salt Lake City from 1864 to 1977. Herbert S. Auerbach (1882-1945) served as president of the Auerbach Company from the 1920s until his death in 1945. This collection contains cabinet cards and cartes de visite portraits of Herbert Auerbach and other members of the Auerbach family.

Herbert Samuel Auerbach (1882-1945) worked for his family's business and department store, the Auerbach Company, from 1911 until 1945.
