Abstract The partial translation of Garcilaso de la Vega's La Florida of the Inca (La Florida of the Inca) first published in Lisbon, Spain, in 1605, is an account of Hernando de Soto's expedition and journey of Florida. This 1936 partial translation is by Benita Brunson Lewis and Warren H. Wilkinson. Also contained in the collection is a 1945 letter of Warren H. Wilkinson to Albert C. Holt.
