Abstract
The Henry Y. Kasai papers (1907-1966) contain material relating to the personal and professional life of Henry Y. Kasai, a leader in Utah's Japanese American community. The bulk of the collection consists of the minutes, history, and president's files of the Japanese American Citizens League (JACL) of Salt Lake City, the formation of which Kasai initiated in 1935. Stormy Mitsui (1922-2010) owned and operated the City Cafe in Salt Lake City, Utah with his wife Chiyoko Yokoyama Mitsui. This collection contains photographs, slides and negatives of Stormy Mitsui’s family portraits, events and gatherings, City Café, Stormy's remote control model airplane hobby, vacations to Japan and California, and hunting and fishing.
