Abstract
The Emmeline B. Wells diaries (1844-1920) consist of Wells' personal journals that contain daily accounts of her life and activities. Wells (1828-1921) was an early Mormon pioneer who left her home in Massachusetts for Nauvoo, Illinois in 1844. In 1846 she moved on to Salt Lake City, Utah, where she was very involved in the LDS Church and various social organizations, including the National Women's Suffrage Association and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Abstract
The Brigham Young papers (1857, 1876-1877, 1908) consist of documents relating to the religious and civic activities of Brigham Young. Included are correspondence, diaries (1837-1857), proclamations, three holograph pages from his will, and microfilm of letter books and official papers from his time as governor of Utah Territory (1849-1857). Brigham Young was the second leader of the LDS Church and was responsible for the movement of the Mormons to the Salt Lake Valley.

The Emily Dow Partridge Smith Young papers (1832-1970) is a compilation of histories, letters, and a portion of Emily Young's diary copied by relatives from original manuscripts. Emily was a polygamous wife of Joseph Smith (1843) and of Brigham Young (1845).
