Abstract The Virgil C. Aldrich papers (1928-1999) contain correspondence, journals, notebooks, writings, essays, and articles. Alrich was educated at Oxford College, the Sorbonne, and the University of California at Berkeley. He taught philosophy at several universities before retiring to Salt Lake City in 1973 where he was an adjunct professor of philosophy at the University of Utah.
