The Flaming Gorge Bureau of Reclamation video (1963) consists of a VHS dub of a film created by the United States Bureau of Reclamation celebrating the completion of Flaming Gorge Dam, located about 10 miles west of the current town of Dutch John, Utah. The film follows the history of the dam from its constcution - beginning in 1958 - to the ceremonioal start of its first generator by President John F. Kennedy in September 1963.

It depicts the land of the Williams family ranch in Flaming Gorge before the Flaming Gorge reservoir was created, flooding the land. It also depicts family members in various locations participating in a variety of activities.

The Frederick Hoffman Wood papers (1950s-1960s) consist of a diary and loose diary pages, correspondence, clippings, brochures, and other materials that document his participation in the 1955-1956 Eggert-Hatch Expedition. The expedition was a river trip down the Green and Colorado Rivers with the purpose of making a complete film record of the river canyons before the great dams at Flaming Gorge and Glen Canyon were built.
