Abstract The Rudolph Hope oral history interview (1971) was done by John S. Smith with Rudolph Hope discussing inter-war economic conditions in Sanpete County, Utah; the Danish community in the county between 1905 and 1915; social life during the 1920s and 1930s; and politics during the Great Depression. Hope was elected county treasurer in 1934 as a Democrat on the "coat-tails" of Franklin D. Roosevelt.
