Abraham Hoagland Cannon journals [copies]
The Abraham Hoagland Cannon journals [copies](1879-1895) consist of nineteen volumes which outline details about LDS Church council meetings and his service as a apostle, political meetings, and other important issues. He recorded business ventures which included stationary and furniture stores, real estate, mining, banking, railroads, and sugar manufacturing. Polygamy is a major theme throughout his journals as well. No photocopies can be made.
Pro-Utah records
The Pro-Utah records (1964-1970) consist of some intermittent papers from this organization. Included are by-laws, name lists, memoranda, correspondence, meeting minutes, reports, and news clippings. Pro-Utah was organized in 1964 by Utah's business leaders as an industrial promotion program.
James T. Steel correspondence
The James T. Steel correspondence (1880-1971) consist of a letter from Steel to his brother-in-law in South Africa in which he describes his family and contemporary issues in Utah. The collection also includes a letter from the U.S. Consulate General in South Africa and two letters concerning the provenance of the collection.
