The Earl Andrew Miller papers (1942-1995) contains material on Miller and his company, the Miller Ski Company of Orem, Utah. In the 1950s Miller developed an early release binding for Alpine skiing. The Loren E. Morey papers (1826-1983) contain correspondence, notes, articles, publications, notebooks, pamphlets, brochures, and news clippings related to hot air balloons and rocket systems. Loren E. Morey received a Ph.D in chemistry from Columbia University in 1944. He worked for Hercules Powder Company for twenty-five years beginning in 1950. While at Hercules, he participated in the development of several military rockets including the Nike Ajax, Little John, Terrier, and Talos.
