Jerry S. Dixon papers
The Jerry S. Dixon papers (1971-2009) consist of journals, scrapbooks and correspondence. Dixon wrote several journals which recounted his travels and adventures throughout Alaska and other parts of the world. The scrapbooks include newspaper clippings, magazine articles and correspondence which document his environmental and educational concerns and activities.

Mock served for a number of years in the Bureau of Land Management as Director of the Colorado-Utah Region, as a member of the Public Land Law Review, and also had a private legal firm. The majority of his work deals with mining and grazing rights in the West.

George J. Taylor papers
The George J. Taylor papers (1843-1897) contain six volumes of photocopied materials including journals, correspondence, certificates, and legal documents. Taylor (1834-1914) was a regent of the University of Deseret (now University of Utah) and the oldest son of John Taylor, third president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church).

The Don D. Walker papers (1883-1980) consist of various items relating to western history. Included are correspondence concerning research activities, issues of "The possible sack" (1970-1974), clippings, a typescript of "The Virginian" by Owen Wister, materials relating to Andy Adams, "The poetry of Thomas Hornsby Ferril" by Robert Fulton Richards, and a journal and account book of sheriff's offices in California (1883-1886).

He was active in the gay rights movement in Salt Lake City, and led discussions with Affirmation, a group for gay and lesbian Latter Day Saints and was also active in the Metropolitan Community Church, which ministers to LGBT people.
