The Thomas G. Stockham papers (1951-1994) provide information about the personal and professional life of Thomas Greenway Stockham, Jr. (b. 1933). The papers include personal documents, correspondence, teaching and business records, scientific and technical reports and manuals, project notes, and published and unpublished documents. Stockham is best known for his development of digital sound, his contributions to computer image processing procedures, and his work on the Watergate tapes.
Emerson Tippetts papers
The Emerson Tippetts papers (1925-1989) is divided into three basic categories: Tippetts' education, his research, and speeches he gave late in his career. Emerson Tippetts is a chemist who was Research Director in E. I. Du Pont de Nemours Company Textile Fibers Department, 1951-1968 where he developed the use of rayon as a reinforcing agent in automobile tires and directed product development for rayon, acetate, spandex, and nylon textiles.

Included are correspondence concerning research activities, issues of "The possible sack" (1970-1974), clippings, a typescript of "The Virginian" by Owen Wister, materials relating to Andy Adams, "The poetry of Thomas Hornsby Ferril" by Robert Fulton Richards, and a journal and account book of sheriff's offices in California (1883-1886).
