Abstract
The Betty M. Madsen papers (1938-1997) contains journals, professional correspondence, unpublished manuscripts on linguistics and 19th-century women, and news clippings on women's issues in the 1970s and 1980s. Betty M. Madsen was a graduate of the University of Utah with degrees in French and linguistics. She was the co-author of several publications with her husband, Brigham D. Madsen and served as thesis editor at the University of Utah in the 1970s.

The Marian Robertson Wilson papers (1920s-2013) consist of correspondence, article drafts, writings, research materials and other papers. The bulk of the materials relate to Wilson's writings about her father, Leroy J. Robertson, a world-renowned musician and composer, and her research into coptic studies. Wilson (b. 1926) is a musician, as well as a linguist and teacher. She has been recognized internationally as music editor of Coptic Encyclopedia and has lectured and taught at universities...
