The Newhouse Mines and Smelters schematic and architectural drawings (1904-1907) contain eighty drawings. They include both architectural drawings and schematic plans that depict buildings, land, and operation details that were part of a mining area in Beaver County, Utah. In 1905, Samuel Newhouse, a mining profiteer from Pennsylvania, bought these mines, originally named the Cactus Mines, renamed them the Newhouse Mines and Smelters, and built the small town Newhouse around the mines. Almeron Newman (1875-1964) was a photographer in Trinidad, Colorado, and came to Salt Lake City in 1909 for the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) convention in August of that year. The Almeron Newman photograph collection consists of images of firemen, police, GAR vertans, women's groups, children, views of Salt Lake City, and US Army units at Fort Douglas.

The Newton's Principia exhibition records (1987-1988) consist of materials relating to an exhibit and lecture series held in February 1988 at the University of Utah in honor of the 300th anniversary of the publication of Isaac Newton's Principia.
