Scope and Contents Several young women and a young man wish to be alone and so each seeks solitude within the library for quiet. One young woman dislikes quiet and wishes to fill the quiet day with her music as she pretends she is giving a concert on her piano for the world to hear. Some people are alone but do not wish to be, others are not but wish they too were alone.

Scope and Contents Dancers are asked for their definitions of dance. A young ballet dancer, Jenny Rowe, who has been dancing for nine years talks about her opinions about dance versus sports as well as what dance has done for her over the years.
