Scope and Contents From the Collection: The Max Zimmer papers (1922-1940) consists of a series of articles published in the German periodical Stern during the years 1922-1923. These articles are chapter by chapter translation of John A. Widtsoe's Joseph Smith as Scientist: the Gospel and Science. Max Zimmer (1889-1958) worked as a translator for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1947 to 1958.
